Promotion Idea:
Postcards -
Postcards we send out as mailshots with images of our current work and events for other people with the phrase 'wish you were here'
Then on the back of these there would be a message resembling on similar to a holiday postcard saying how much fun the event was and how it benefitted our client and hope to see them soon.
In the address section would be our details to get in contact with us
We would send them to previous and hopeful clients
This would encourage them to see what we do and how much there missing out on.
Quotes -
I thought of using well known quotes beginning with 'the' as a way of promoting ourselves.
I discussed these ideas with everyone when we met up. They really liked the idea of the business card having a space to leave a message as it made it personal and worked with Greta's idea for the opening of the presentation with a voiceover of famous 'the's'.
Tom then suggested that the actual logo should be like the car and but be 'The__' instead of the dots I had sketched.
Everyone really liked this idea and it really worked with our name concept.
Everyone liked the idea of the postcard as well as it really fitted with the event and would say to clients 'look what your missing out on' and get people interested in us. They did say however it was more for when we have done some work as the photography would be from work we've done.
I then told them about the quotes and 'the calm before the storm' particularly stood out to some. I said how I felt this could be some way of launching ourselves and its the phrase 'in the beginning'.
From this the idea came about that we would launch ourselves with an event which would then be annual. It would be called 'The Event' in which people would refer to each as 'oh are you going to The Event.' making it a prominent event not just any old event. Each year would have a different name based on where we were as a company at the time eg. the first one would be 'The Beginning'. This would become a anticipated event in peoples calendars and would make us stand out from other agencies.
The quotes would then be used on forms of invitations to the event so its a big build up of anticipation. The postcard would then be sent out to those who chose not to come or clients we would be interested in working with.
We went through my presentation plan and the business plan on moodle and divided up the jobs we had to research and gather for the presentation.
