John - Task 1 - Design Studios

This company is so inspiring and innovative in ideas and moving companies into the future but without moving away from there morals and history. I would love to be part of working with big companies and revolutionising there brands into the next big thing. There creative and professional and have sole interest in branding although they work across all kinds media. I want to design and create across different technologies, materials, scales etc. They also have a studio based in San Francisco which is a place I really want to go to.

They have a family aspect to there company which means there are only a small few in team working towards something. I like the policy of working in a friendly environment where all are working to a similar goal as your passion is therefore shared and strives the work into new heights. They've also worked with some of the biggest brands and have multiple studios all around the world which would mean there would be possibility to travel.

I like that they don't limit themselves to particular specialisations and how they treat each client as individual. I think its important not to limit yourself to categories as you'll never find anything new.

I loved so much of there work and they have such a high reputation in branding being the 2nd best in the UK. They've won a ton of rewards, worked with a massive amount of clients and I loved there ideas even if i wasn't interested in the topic or the brand. I felt like I was on the same wave length as them.

It created one of the first brand-orientated Flagship stores in the world and was ranked No 1 in the Retail Interiors league table. The company is very based on craftsmanship and find it very important in the process of design. I've always been excited and enjoyed the experience of stores and there interior and wanted to be part of it. I find craft is also very important in design and want to make it a more intregal part of my design process. There working environment is concentrated on the process and morals on design. Not only have they designed for the Bullring where i'm from but two of the companies i've worked for

I like there light hearted and fun but clever ethic to design. There very open and proud of who they are and don't shy from that when working with or trying to gain clients. There manifesto says it all:
01) If you don’t like your work – quit.
02) If you love someone – let it show.
03) Generosity always pays itself back automatically.
04) Always smile when you talk to an annoying person on the phone.
05) If you want to be a rock star, don’t study graphic design.
06) Talk with clients as you talk to your family, friends and pets.
07) Social skills are as important as being good at setting type or knowing how to spell.
08) See people as people, not as target groups.
09) Just because you wear a black suit doesn’t mean you’re successful.
10) Having enemies is good and necessary.
I think they have a good positive energy to work and design, I feel a part of me I don't get to express that often.

Do what you love. In a place you'll really, really love.

I love there motto of doing something you love for your career instead of just a job and how they say they concentrate on nurturing and developing the people who work there. Also they've worked with some very big brands and done designs which I've seen myself everywhere, very inspiring!

I like how they started in Leeds and now have studios all around the world including New York. They have a fun and professional approach to designing and really engage the client in the process as well as get them excited about it.

We strip away the baggage to leave only what matters: design which gets noticed and chosen.

Proudly independent since 1990, we are answerable to our clients and their brands, not a corporate group or their shareholders. We focus on doing one thing well – branded packaging. If a brand has visual equity we unlock it. If it hasn't, we create it.

They've worked with loads of strong brands and concentrate of packaging. The services they offer were fascinating, especially the 3D parts such the Stella Chalice and the draft pipe design. I really like this design company and it gave me faith that I could actually do it as they break down the different parts into the team who are all skilled in different areas.

Moving Brands: I feel this company really stood out and appeared as pure experts at what they do. I don't know if this is one for where i'm at now but it's defiantly one where I'd like to be at.

My decision is made on the fact that they seem the most technologically advanced in branding which is the direction of where the world is heading.

WHO they are/who are you?
We are an independent, global creative company. We help businesses create, grow and transform iconic brands that thrive in a moving world.
I am a student of a new generation.
WHY you are contacting them and why they should listen?
Because I want to work with the best and they should listen because I am part of a large population in which the brands will grow with.

WHAT do you want them to do next and what do you actually want.
I want them to hire me?

WHY they should get back to you?
It would be unpolite not to.

8 methods you could utilize to contact them.

  1. By sending them a balloon deflated - once deflated my face and contact details appear
  2. Turning up on there front step
  3. Email a short video
  4. A message in a bottle
  5. Weather report of the UK and San Fran
  6. Jigsaw Puzzle with my details
  7. Send a plant to play on there grow aspects of brand
  8. Call them
